CMO/Business Strategist
Aamplify has a significant role for a contract CMO/Business Strategist to identify and concept marketing strategies in support of new lines of business and partnerships, across all products and services. The Strategist will be taking a holistic approach in working hand-in-hand with the Client Partner and Aamplify Board members.
The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B tech marketer or strategist with a background in defining strategic marketing ideas for B2B brands. They are experienced in bringing holistic product stories to life through outstanding research, messaging & narrative showcases, and marketing collateral. They are a gifted storyteller, with the ability to concept creative ideas with brand objectives and the target consumer in mind. They have an appetite for learning, and are comfortable working outside their primary skill set and comfort zone to help drive creativity and product innovation for Aamplify.

We are experts in HubSpot web development, marketing automation, brand development, demand generation, virtual events and customer experience design.
We help our customers build sales pipelines by offering marketing products and services using industry-leading digital marketing platforms, so that they can transform revenue generation.
We work alongside enterprise technology and B2B brands across Australasia – like IBM, Kordia, Microsoft and Cisco – recently we’ve charted a new global path that is focused on taking products to market, on platforms like Hubspot, Linkedin, YouTube, Facebook and we’re on a bit of a mission to make it happen with Digital Product Marketing that generates online revenue. You’ll get to work with a small tight-knit team based in Auckland but spread across the country.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate marketing requirements and branding opportunities within new business, partnerships, business development deals, and other strategic growth initiatives
- Develop and present best practices to bring these opportunities to market
- Work closely with team members and internal stakeholders, managing multiple projects, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams and external partners; synthesize key conclusions and deliver recommendations to senior executives
- Cultivate and maintain productive and effective relationships
- Establish productive relationships with key players across existing, new customers, and other stakeholders
- Manage and drive special projects as needed
- Drive marketing strategic initiatives and vision, including, but not limited to: presentation decks, speeches, and talking points for both internal and external events
- You will lead global marketing efforts from strategy to execution
- You will create a comprehensive messaging architecture and integrate demand generation strategy to engage and nurture prospects and customers
- You will leverage analytics to define, analyse and measure out return on marketing investment.
- You will partner cross-functionally with sales and product leadership to create a consistent and exciting buyer experience for our customers
Qualifications
- You have 10+ years of marketing leadership experience in the IT/Software field with an approach that emphasises ROI
- 10+ years of experience working in consulting (strategy & operations, technology), agency or other similar roles managing complex programs with multiple projects/workstreams
- Technical skillset which includes deep experience with Customer Data Platforms, Event-Driven Analytics and Marketing Automation (Hubspot preferred)
- You are a proven leader of high-performing marketing teams within a fast-paced growth environment
- You have an exceptional understanding of marketing best practices across inbound and outbound channels to engage tech savvy buyers
- You possess an in-depth knowledge of digital marketing and data-driven decision making
- You are a creative thinker with strong attention to detail and an eye for web design
- You are collaborative and agile in your leadership style with enterprise-level problem solving abilities
- You are capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve best-in-class results
